Paying Attention to Your Needs During Divorce
I represent individuals at all stages of the dissolution of a marriage or domestic partnership, from the decision to file through negotiated settlements, mediation, trial, and post-judgment requests for modification or enforcement of existing court orders. I handle all matters arising out of divorce or dissolution, including:
- Child custody and visitation. I will help you establish and put in place custody and visitation arrangements in the best interests of your children.
- Child support. I will review all proposed child support orders for compliance with California guidelines. If you are working and your ex-spouse is not, I can help you obtain a “2050 order,” either requiring them to seek employment or imputing income at a reasonable level.
- Spousal support. I will work with you to determine whether alimony is warranted and, if so, how much should be paid and for how long.
- Property settlements. I will help you equitably divide debts and assets under California’s community property laws.
Our lawyers will also help you negotiate the terms of legal separation and put a separation agreement in place.
